Cool design.. I think you could develope the texture more. You have big scratches and scrapes on the corners and edges of the model but nothing on the body pannel areas. Seams and rivits, nuts and bolts, dirt, dents and dings It will bring more contrast to the texture rater than flat color. just a thought

You can actually localize the net map for more detail. such as filling the rest of the map with the net texture, and adding a second UVW map intop of the the net mesh. Possibley sizing down the actual texture to 128x128.

Other than that, it looks excellent. Do you have any reference images?

You are right. the texture is a bit lacking, and was quite rushed. i'll develop it a bit more at a later stage.

Good point about the opacity. it is a bit wasteful at the moment.

references was in a printed magazine called "Popular Science". It was an article about new US unmanned vehicles.

nice work, agree about the map being a little dull at the mo, needs more dirt and dust, the base colour dosnt help but thats not your choice.

i did some similar models for Project Reality, A US packbot, but im not supposed to post until the next release with them in is out =-( its interesting to compare, i only had 800 tris to play with, which was a pain in the a**e.

The wheels look excessively clean, but other than that nice job.
