Hey there!

For some time now I am trying to figure out how to attack the problem what stands before me. I need to model some cloth what is laying on table. It is meant to be a additional detail for some other objects. Like cloth shading exercises what every painter in his life does:

How would you go about this problem? Would you just box model it out with old techniques or you would use maybe some procedural tricks like deformers and so on. Would love to hear about the ideas what others may have :)

Thanks!

If it has to be a static shot ( one fixed camera angle ) , i would model it with planes , edge extruding ..and so on ..as long as it looks good from one angle..

I would increase the poly density of the cloth so I could start adding folds where I want them. That's how a do chair cushions as well.
