The great thing about Traditional Animation is the ability to be able to scribble frame info, time charts or any sort of generic doodle in the margins of your animation for future frame-by-frame review. I really miss this when doing 3D Animation.

So far the best way I've managed to do this is by importing the preview file into Corel Painter, make the annotations there and rerender the whole thing. Both importing and exporting the animation into and back out of Painter takes quite a long time, depending on the compression of the file.

I was wondering if anyone might know of some plugin, applet or the likes to allow you to do scribbles on your animation and maybe save it out again. I remember MAYA's playblaster did that, I don't know if you could save the scribbles or not but it was good enough.

So... anyone?

Cheers!
