View Full Version : Modeling to account for good hip/thigh deformation

Hi there,

I have run into a bit of a problem where my character is skinning great overall, except for the region where the thigh meets the hips. I am thinking I may not have enough detail cut-out in that area for it to deform properly, but was hoping someone could give me some insight.

The butt area works well, but it is the part in the crotch that just caves in no matter how I blend my vertice weight. I also tried moving the bones forward a bit and re-enveloping.

So I think this might be because of my mesh.
