This is a sci-fi illustration I did in my spare time. The design of the spaceship was influenced mainly by shapes of a saxophone.

Great design and light. Lots of detail and the fact that the man has a face is nice. Would have been easy just to turn him around. The waves of gas or atmosphere off the large planet in the background are cool too.
I guess my only crit is that the image is great but it doesnt have a lot of story spark. I guess the ship has crashed or landed badly since the bottom is buried. Maybe the man is signaling or doing repairs. Its not always the point of an illustration but some healthy drama would have raised the image to a whole new level.

That is so visually interesting. I always thought that the saxophone instrument was always so unique and interesting when caught in the light and here you have incorporated that into your design and it's just so interesting and slick. LOL! Really awesome job man. I love the work on your site too.
