i foind this tool totally unusefull because it renders a simple head with about 1000 hairs multithread
and takes you GOT DAMN 40 mins to calculate
on a 1600 athlon
this cant be true
anyone opinions , experiences?

Hair's tough bud. Consider that each one of those hairs is some form of geometry and you have to pump it through the renderer somehow. Throw in self shadowing (I'm not sure how S&H does theirs, but deep shadow maps in 3Delight will choke up a render), and of course it's going to take a long time to compute.

I think Shave for 4.5 is still a beta
Too bad Sasquatch isn't for Maya. :-)

Why Shave?
use Painteffects at 1.5 to 2 times the needed resolution ... some Dynamics ... and every thing is fun ... without no extra money ;-))
