Anyone have any ideas on creating a rocky shore line for a lake side shot?
The shore line is visible in the lower left foreground and arcs out into the distance (at the middle right of the frame). So you see the rocks up relatively closely and also at a great distance.
I started creating rocks via the rockGenerator mel script but the poly count is going to be way too high for my PC (even if i reduce polys by 75%).
So i then decided on a scattering of rocks with an underlying rock texture to fill in the details... but its nigh on impossible (or just laborious?) to create a tiling rock texture (from a photo). Although my photoshop skills might leave a bit to be desired.
Any other ideas out there in the ether of consciousness?
