I'm doing a poster for a "Moors versus Christians" contest in the city of Benidorm, Spain. This is going to be my WIP...
First one: I want to achieve an "opposite" idea, warfare-like BUT for a festivity, not a military contest, so... I thought It can be a good idea use a chess-based composition:
...this is the base sketch without moors, made with Photoshop and wacom in one hour.

I'm a big fan of your stuff, and this isn't changing my mind about that. :) The little sketches look hilarious! Love the style, and all the little things going on with and between the various characters (the pawn with drinks, and the umbrella atop the rook are great :p). Heck, I love the direction you've decided to run with. Definitely looking forward to future updates. :)
One thing though. Shouldn't there be a pair of bishops in there, flanking the royal couple, instead of the knights? Though that would necessitate getting rid of the lovely little bit of flirting the queen is up to. :D

Telemaco, your work always delights and amazes me. This work is no exception. I can't wait to see it progress. Even as a WIP it is awesome.

Hehe, in the bishop question maybe is more important to have a good history than being chess-accurate... I'll think about it.
Thx for the comments, tomorrow I'll sketch the moors.

Still deciding the line style. Right is 5 point brush, left is 3 point brush...

The poster is soooooooo cool...
If you want my opinion, I prefer the first line style....the second one is a bit coarse...first one, first one, first one!!!:bounce:
