This image was drawn and colored a while back. I have little experience with photoshop and this is my first color fix. I can use some digital coloring in Photoshop crits or sugestions. The tutorials are bogus and don't help,,,went that route. Any help would be great.

Well tutorials are hardly bogus. Maybe you were just looking at the wrong ones-if that's the case, then keep looking for others.

But if you have Photoshop, then you also must have the Photoshop Manual. I suggest opening it up and reading it, it's very helpful for beginners. Just try things out, don't be afraid. That's the only way you will learn.

Hi,there. I know u weren't asking for tutorials but it's hard to give u any advice when I don't know how familiar you're with photoshop's tools or with colors, digital or not, do work with a tablet, or what kind of coloring u want to do (comic book, illustration, etc.). Colors, for me, is the most important thing to know along with some drawing basics, if u want to add volume to your pieces. Anyways, I figured u just want to get busy so I went to look for a few of the tutorials I feel that helped me when I started.

This one is a really great tutorial although a bit more advanced but good to show you why
knowing colors is so important:
