Hi,
i have browsed through the forum lookin for answers to my doubts but it seems i cant find any, so i decided to post..heres the problem, i wanna create longer explosions using jus 1 particle system and afterburn..right now the explosion looks great but only for 3 frames and not more..if i try having ten frames emit start to emit stop for my particle system, the effect will seem to not grow anymore and it'll jut have funny looks..i have tried playing with the speed settings but it doesnt seem to work or mayb im doing it wrong?....my question is, how do i make the explosions last longer for more than 3 frames wif a growth effect and a shrink effect after that??

Thank You.

Well first thing is check how long is your particle system emitting particles, how long they are displayed, and what is a life time. That is where could be problem.
You can animate speed and position of particles.
As well try playing with curves that control shape of explosion / smoke.
If you would explain more in detail what are your setting i could try and help a bit more.

Thank you very much kind soul for helping me out..u were right there was a problem with some settings..i wanted it to show more of the fiery effect instead of a fast cannot be seen fiery effect..lol..i adjusted the lifetime and variation and i also added a drag space warp to it and tweaked the color settings and it gave me the desired effect.
