Snakeye 02-24-2006, 10:33 PM Here is a shot of the F1 Ferrari I've been working on the last coupla days. Still needs some tweakin. I'll post some more shots inc. wires when I get back from work.

Looking good but need to see that wire.
The wheels are too round. You should lose that edge in the middle of the sidewall.
Also your front wing looks off from this ref:

You can also see bit sticking up on the sides, between the front and rear wheels. Don't know what they do, but dont forget them and the mirrors. The rear wing needs a plane through the middle too.
Are you going to be adding a driver to this?

I can see what you mean about the tyres. I'll just make that edge larger, other wise they'll look square from the front. And thanks for pointing out the mirrors. Hadn't noticed those  With regards to the vents on the side pods, they aren't on the references that I'm working from but I appreciate the crits :) I'm using blueprints from Onno Van Braam for proportion:

and i've also got a model of the car as well:

I've also noticed that I've missed out the two 'fins' at the side of the central air intake. Oops. Here's some wires form different angles as promised.

No other replies? Even if it's to say whether it's good or bad? I'm not sure on whether the poly distribution is ok, by that I mean is the topology ok or are the polys laid out badly?
Anyways, here's the latest render. It's more or less finished (unless someone points out errors) so the next job will be texturing.

ok that looks like nice optimised geometry you have there.
i would try applying some smothing groups so that we can see how the flow of the polys effects the shading.
id say sofften the front/top edge of the side air intakes by adding a chamfer.
plus add the little ariels.
whats the tri count atm

Thanks Sherpeiro! I've added a few more details and smoothed it out. It's currently 2689 triangles.

couple of dodgy shading bits at rear of main body, could be sorted with the smoothing groups.
good poly count.
