Ive been scratching the surface of xsi 3.o for a few days now and i must say im pretty impressed. It seems very logical and intuitive. Which is i must admint more than i can say about my old pal max (no hard feelings max).

So im thinking about migrating. But: The renderer included in XSI (and this might be a stupid question, but like i said ive only been testing the waters yet) is it any good?
Or do i need to get Mental Ray on the side, sort of like i have to get Brazil (or whatever) for Max?

Thats sort of a decisionmaker for me so im greatful for any answers.

The included renderer IS mental ray. Nothing else.

Silly me.

Then ill just continue to scratch it until i make a hole. And maybe ill come back in a few days and ask more stupid questions.
