View Full Version : character wip
Titan 12-12-2002, 09:25 PM just thought I'd post my latest model....
Its definately a wip, and I'm having a prob with texture mapping...
I'll try to post more updates as I finish them...
this was done in max 5 and has approximately 2700 faces..
I was going for an exaggerated, almost super hero style..
C&C welcome...

hello again.....
I know this isnt generating much interest, but I'm gonna keep updating this character if it kills me...;)
I feel like its something important for me to do
(building a new portfolio in hopes of finding a modelling gig)
Even if nobody replies..this forum really helps to keep me motivated and energized to actually finish my material...
anyway..here is the model mostly finished (may rework the hands)
and I'm just STARTING to block in a texture map.....
so even if you dont reply or arent really interested, thanksfor at least looking, that helps me alot...:)

Hey, I'm interested. I really liked how the model was coming together. I know you are just texturing him in, but I figure...why not given him some actually modeled clothes? Just a suggestion. Besides that its coming along great the anatomy looked pretty good too:).

hey thanks,
I intend to model some type of clothing, not sure yet, it may only be taller boots or an edge for the gloves, some glasses etc..
thanks for the reply:cool:

Not bad! But IMO, in the lower (butt/legs) department it seems a female character...
Try to reinforce it, especially the knees.
Just a suggestion..
ciao. :)

Yeah sometimes they don't reply much, but you know you gotta keep trukin on, right.
Pretty good stuff so far, I agree with Modeling_man, you shoud give him some clothing details, it just looks better. Also you may want to consider enlarging the hands a bit, they look a little small for the frame and the head.
Keep going, let us see your uv cooridinate layouts, thats always fun.
