Hello,

If anyone is interested, I have uploaded my first animated short.

I would really welcome any feedback, especially from the people who use this forum. As its my first short and I'm trying to get a break, I really would appreciate any advice/comments. Careers opportunities!! My passion is character design but I wanted to bring some of my scribbles to life.

I hope you enjoy the film.

P.S theres some extra background info on the minisite.

Thanks

this is a well written short. I like the fact that you got alot of story telling and feeling with minimal animation, using the voiceover to carry us through. I liked this. Great job.

yeah you've fit the animation to the story and not the story to the animation. And the minimal animation pushes the story more then if you spelled it out to the veiwer with detailed keyframing.
I hope I've made sense, didn't get much sleep last night.

Very nice work mate

Thanks for posting your comments, I really appreciate it.

I'm glad you both enjoyed the film, the difficult thing for me (being my first film) was to keep an eye on the whole project. Rather than concentrating on being happy with the charatcers and forgetting about the story etc..

Even putting together my short took about a year in my spare time, and the hardest thing was dropping things from the animation (so it ran better), after you'd spent two weeks putting it together.

But I was pleased with how it felt when I watched the full final film. I've watched it alot and change my mind on things and order but I suppose thats all part of my development.

Thanks again, it means alot.
