I have been dabbling in 3D for the past few years and the fascination with painting and digital painting has still burned bright inside of me. I tried my hand at it back in the day but couldn't really get a feel for it. Just yesterday, I was explaining to a coworker about shading with color complements and not black and I painted a sample image to show him this. After I was done, I was pretty surprized at how such a simple thing could turn out. I think my 3D learning has help my 'eye' for painting. I am posting it as a way of telling everyone here hello and that I hope I will be in here more often and growing with the other nooblets.
Of course, being an artist to begin with, critigue is always welcome and I can handle a thrashing as well. It's such a simple image though.
I did have a question on how I could simulate a better specular value on the ball and also on how to add a reflective simulation on it as well.
Thanks
