As there are so many "noobs" here I though I'd take the opertunity to point out that there is a much better resource than this forum for tech support and Max related questions.

Just go here and create an account (real names please)

down the bottom of the page, just select the Max/forum link..

There are various areas on the forum dedicated to modelling, scripting etc etc. Makes more sense to keep the tech support knowledge there eh?

cgtalk stay faar more frequented. You got answer faster here. But on discreet boards, you got the rights words, which is nice also. Personnally, I use support.discreet.com for years now and cgtalk for months, just these two ones :beer:

Well, if some of the poeple who frequented here, move over there, you'd find that the discreet forum was as busy as here.....

i.e. having two duplicates the work and wastes a lot of effort, its better for us all to be in "one place", carin and sharin, in love and harmony etc etc

So you prefer all max users staying in there max boards, all maya users staying in there maya boards etc ? Sorry, I thik we are CGartist, not softwares technicians, so mixing the point of view, technics etc whatever soft we used is important. Anyway cgtalk got some non max but maxusers boards as cgnews, general discuss, technics, etc so in any way we will still have to come there.

I also think we can be more objective here about Discreet and 3dsmax without being blame for speaking :rolleyes:
