Hi all,

If you like fractal animations and 70's electronic music, then this could be of interest for you. ;)

http://www.kk3d.de (http://www.kk3d.de/) > More Movies > Apophysis One

The animation is available in two versions, 3:37 minutes which should be ok for the first look and then another 25:57 version. Resolution for both versions is 720 x 400. You'll need the latest XviD (http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml) 1.1.0 codec for viewing.

Any comments / feedback welcome.

Nice idea you got there, I was thinkin of doing something like that with some kraftwek :D. Are those animations from Electric Sheep?

Electric Sheep, more or less... It was done with the latest "Sourceforge version" of Apophysis, v2.03c (http://sourceforge.net/projects/apophysis/).

Good idea about a Kraftwerk project. I have all their albums. :)

Very Cool! also like the soundtrack, is this Tangerine Dream?
maybe try adding some image distortion effects like twisting certain
areas to make it even more dynamic...

yeah, apophysis simply rocks, you can make pretty amazing stuff with it.
do you have any tips on good render settings for animations in apophysis?
(my experiments took ages to render)

Thanks. The music is by Vangelis in the short version and Bernd Kistenmacher in the long one.

There are many more example animation scripts available which I will try out in the next time. Not sure what the result will be. ;)

To avoid a grainy look, render quality should be set to at least 600, partially I used up to 1600. Oversampling should be activated, level 2 or 3. The rest is hard to describe, just play around with the settings.
