View Full Version : Via 310 DP for render nodes?

Anyone using Via boards, or more specifically the new dual processor Via board, for render farm machines? Any opinion on these versus dual core machines (AMD or Intel)?

Just curious. I'm adding to the farm and keep getting calls from a Via vendor wanting to sell me the boards.

Because noone else will buy them. Via have a shoddy track record of producing crash prone, incompatible boards. Avoid.

Thanks. I was somewhat suspicious. I should pay attention to the little voice inside that keeps saying "stick with what you know". (I usually disgard what the little voice tells me.)
