I would more than grateful if anyone can tell something about Brera Academy in Italy, Milan, and their school of Computer Art. I want to help my brother to get there. He is a student in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro, and he is working in 3D Max. He makes models and I think he is pretty good.

The thing is that he thinks he will lose by going on the Academy. I’m sure that he will only gain.

But if I can show him a positive opinion about Brera from one of you guys he will go.

Thank you so much.

Hi!
This is a great responsability, because is about someone's future...
Anyway, I'll be brave and tell you my opinion. If the Academy is the only place he can go to learn, so be it. If he can choose a school in France or England, it's better. The reason is that schools and universities in Italy, although good, don't help you networking or finding a job.
Schools in France are better, but I don't know about jobs (the French kick ass in computer graphics, they are awesome).
Britain is the best, because colleges and schools normallly help you out from the job and networking point of view.
All this said, I don't know that Academy in the specific and can't judge the quality of their courses. I although know that it has a big name. If they have a site and a forum, why not asking the students what they think of their own school?
Anyway, if he needs to learn, he has to go somewhere. If he has the chance to go there, why not?
Good luck
Monica

The body of the original post was not visible yesterday (not sure why. . .), so I could only see the title "Help!". Confusing!

Anyways. . . tijana, tell your brother best of luck. Unfortunately, I haven't heard about the Brera Academy, and a quick Google only pulled up their Italian page. There are a couple of reviews on http://istudy.iagora.com/Accademia_di_Belle_Arti_di_Brera/reviews.html, though they didn't seem very conclusive. . .
