You're lipsync acting needs some work. The body going up and down is too much in line with the hand so it looks like it's stuck together. i like that you have him leaning over like he's really talking at someone but it's really akward looking. you should have the hips move back a little to compensate for the rest of the body shifting forward to keep his center of balance. then rotate the hips, then the chest then the head so that it moves more like a whip or a tail it'll give it nice flow and you'll be shocked how much more natural it looks. if you exaggerate it you can give him lots of personality. I'd try to add more rotation on the other axis. it looks like it's all up and down. have him bring his head over on more of an angle, try to incorperate some nice arcs in there. Same goes for his hands. Keep going! ~Tammy

how many of animations are you working on at once? try to do one at a time so you can learn.

better to make one awesome piece of animation than many medicore pieces. i would stick with your spidey walk cycle for now and then come back to this when your better with the basics.

i don't mean to sound harsh i just think you may be spreading yourself too thinly.

Thanks for the response you guys.

Tammy: Thanks for your suggestions. I'll try to incorporate them accordingly and re-post. It might be a few days or so, but it will get done.

Dan: Thanks for posting again. I kind of agree with the thinning myself out but I do have a few going on at the same time for school. These are to put on a reel for graduation so I am trying to complete some variety. Kind of a catch 22 here.

Thanks again!:)

Hey Dan,

I've been meaning to ask you as I did Adam...how long have you been in this business and what do you do in it?

everything about this animation is incorrect, down to the framing of the shot. please understand that i'm not being mean, just honest. i STRONGLY suggest you start with the bouncing ball. go buy "the animator's survival kit" if you haven't already and start with the basics. that book will teach you everything you need to know to get a job in this industry.

a lot of animators make this mistake of biting off more than they can chew. this leads to animation that lacks any and all principles, and frustrated animators. :) start at the beginning. you will thank yourself for it.
