View Full Version : Time to hang up my 3D software!

Been looking with amazement recently at some of the work on here; it was enough to make me get Painter IX which I'm slowly learning. Thought I'd have a go at working on a pencils ketch I did, which I'd previouslt 'tinted' in Photoshop. Here is the original sketch:

Here is an early attempt at tinting it with Paintshop Pro:

Then I got Painter IX and began adjust the composition and to colour it; I also added a sky rendered in Bryce:

I did a quick sketch in Painter after a rain storm, my first attempt with Painter:

I liked this sky so have dropped it in to the painting:

Early days yet, but I really like what can be done with 2D. Hopefully I can learn as I go!

Everything looks great so far, and I like the composition. Looking forward to see more.

No worries man, whatever it takes, you've got it!

The hardest part is the sketching itself and that looks good, don't worry.
