Title: I Wish I Was A Robot-squid Monster.
Name: Jimmy Maidens
Country: United States
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

My most recent and new favorite image created for my (semi)daily images on boring3d. Also thought I should post something up here seeing how it has been over a year since I've shared anything on CGTalk. Let me know what you think.

Great! Very nice work, I like oldschool design and old-photo feeling very much, great render too. Congratz:bounce:

I check Boring3D every day, as part of my office work-avoidance regime.

You're pretty much the only person I've seen who's managed to find the 3d equivalent of cartooning. Don't stop.

The world needs more steam powered robotic squids :). Fan of your site for ages, always good to see new stuff.

Before I even read the comments, I thought to myself "that looks like boring3d". Recognized it right away as your work which speaks volumes to your personal style. Excellent stuff.

Good stuff, I always enjoy my dose of Boring3D to the fullest! I even got a "They're Bananas Reverend!" mug which I've carried around half the world with me. In fact it served me so well that I now drink the majority of my beverages from it!

Could you share with us how you made the clouds?

Excellent!

It's odd, but I enjoy your images all the more for their superb titles.

Thanks everyone -:)

bloggs,
Don't think I have time to make the deadline -:(

Rens Heeren,
Clouds? Are you referring to the smoke? If so it's a standard Max particle system set to metaparticle with some wind and lots of SSS.
