Anyone uses Boujou? I was reading an article about Matchmover Pro and one of the advantages over Boujou was the C4D export option.
Now i found a plugin that enables C4D to read Boujou ascii data. Haven't tested it yet, but here's the link:

try Icarus from www.icarus.com.
it is free for personal use, I tested it and it seems fne for C4D to use.
Icarus doesn't export *.c4d, but *.lws, since C4D can read *.lws sana problem, I works for me and have rendered some test movies using Icarus.

Cool......

And yes, I used Boujou demo before, seems cool and easy. Automatic tracking is very impressive. Have dlded the plugin for C4D.

Thanks!

I'll give icarus a try. There's no such thing as "too much software"...

Hi,

ICARUS is very cool (and FREE!).
It consists of 3 distinct modules (apps): Distortion, Calibration and Reconstruction.

In Distortion you can remove Lens distortion from a movie or image sequence and you can also keep its values to add it again to the final 3d scene, so that it gets the same distortion as the live action's.

Calibration is where you do all the tracking and such.

Reconstruction takes the files you created in Calibration and there you can match primitive objects to the live action real objects.

In C4D I could open the .lws files drom Calibration without any problem but I couldn't open any .lwo file from the Reconstruction module.

I'm also using it in OSX (what else?) and it has a few bugs which are already mentioned in their website, so I'm expecting they'll fix it soon.
