View Full Version : Ball Roll!!
robinmitchell 02-20-2006, 12:06 AM This is my first ever rig that I have model and rigged and I hope to never ever do that again!! Way to technical a process for me to enjoy but it was a great learning experience!! Soooo I thought I would put it through its paces with an old sheridan college 2D assignment simply called the ball roll!! It still needs work on the hands and eyes and facial stuff!! But please feel free to share your thoughts!!
Thanks!!

yeah thats very nice, cool practice to do too.
one little crit (more preferance i guess) is before he comes up on the other side and he's rolling the ball with his feet i think his feet should stay in contact with the ball a little more so it looks like he's really rolling it. its kinda hard to explain... maybe you'll get what i mean ...

I love your animation. Very fluid and Disney like(if that makes sense). Fantastic.

Thank you for the kind words Y'all!!
hey dalmanna, I believe what you are trying to get at is you would have like to have seen more balancing on the ball before the final dismount! That would have made the piece too long for my taste as i just wanted to test my rig out more than anything else to be honest. But thanks for critique I do appreciate it!
hey detached, Thanks but I wish I was disney material because i would be applying in a second !hehehehe!!

beautiful animation. i have one crit about the second he lands back on the ground (after the ball rolls out of the screen) - i think that when a person lands on he's legs he won't stand so fast and then fall back. he should first fall back just a little and try to stand while falling back. cause right now it doesnt seem to me like he is loosing he's balance. it looks like he stands and then jumps a step back..sorry i hope i explained myself good enough. great job.
