For some reason it reminds me of the rotoscoped version of the Lord of the Rings animated movies .. pretty cool

I like this! The background really does a good job of setting the mood. The figure on the left looks a bit too much like a dog face on a Furby body, but the one on the right really has a lot of anthropomorphic emotion... especially the eyes and mouth. His slacking pocture is excellent, too.
One thing that bothers me is his feet... aside from the size, they look very spread out (as in, the angle they form is rather large). It makes him look like he's posing as opposed to relaxed or emoting.
Can't wait to see where this ends up.

great work!!
it has a very nice feel to it .....
very artistic and ...:arteest:
there is a great contrast between the cartoon-ish characters and the some what realistic LOTR's-ish dark background...
I like it a lot! (my new wallpaper):)

Really cool:applause:
I think the creatures could use some shadows at their feet to anchor them to the ground. Aside from that, I'd like to see the characters rendered well enough so that you wouldn't need to see the line work. I think you've already got that going in the background.
Good job

I like this one a lot Ambient, looks pretty spooky.
About the characters being flat:
Your lightsource comes from the back, so a really cool solution could be, to make them really really dark, with a lighted edge, and a big heavy groundshadow coming towards the viewer.
That will add even more to the spookyness aswell :)
why do I feel sorry for them for some reason.
Okay I'll give you and your brother some money

Hiya ambient whisper,
Cool job here. I dig your characther designs. They have lots of potential in 3d anim with furrr. And you got a good handle in the environtment too. All of these textures man they bring the mood. So are you planning to do this in 3d?

good stuff... the background is a little too detailed for the foreground characters, maybe some more detail and lighting effects would be cool
