CGTalk - Problem with missing replies/comments

For some reason, some thread at the CG news has replies that I can't see. For instance, there is suppose to be 20 replies at the Scaner Darkly topic as indicated, yet I can only see 8 replies when I enter the thread. Is it just me or there is something I don't know about?

Yep... this problem surfaced before, and it's here again.

I did some digging and it appears to be the same issue that I saw in this previous (zombified) thread:

Hi, I'm still having this problem. I don't know why. The Scanner Darkly thread now has 24 replies as indicated on the counter at the CG news page. However when I enter the thread, I can only see 8 replies, last one from j alan hawkins. There are other thread that I have problem with this.
