I am having a problem with max 5 at home.
At work its fine but at home the menu that is suposed to be docked to the bottom of the unwrap uvw edit window isnt there.
I cant find any way of turning it on.
It is the little thing that lets you select soft selection and change between vert and edges etc...
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I tried reinstalling and the same thing happened.
I think it may be my opperating system is messed or something...
But I really dont wanna reinstall windows and all of my apps again just to fix this problem.

I'm looking into this...but I can't reproduce your problem. I sincerely doubt that it has anything to do with your operating system, though. It's more likely than not a Max 'preference' that's been somehow switched. I'll keep digging for a solution :wip:

Here's something you can try, though I can't say for certain that it will work. Look in your 3dsmax5/plugcfg directory for a file called unwrapuvw.ini. Delete it and restart Max. If that doesn't do it, then I'm at a loss for now...

You could contact Discreet directly via their technical support number or better yet use their "webboard" (found in the support section of their site) to get help in regards to this issue that you are having.
