Hello!
Is there a possibility to add a feature in the control panel, for members, to change the language of the site? Like being able to switch from english to french, german or other languages.

I've seen this on other forums.Thank you.

You're more than welcome to post a suggestion and poll in this forum (http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=155) for consideration.

The problem with that is that it may encourage users to start posting in other languages, thus alienating others on the forum. We've always stuck to English here because everyone speaks at least a bit of it.

Not only would it alienate other users from posts, but it would make it hard for our moderation team to moderate posts made in other languages.

Switching languages of the interface of the forum would still leave the posts in english, if you're having trouble, I would suggest running the site through a translation service such as bablefish ( http://babelfish.altavista.com/ ).

Ok, thank you; I'm taking this into consideration. I might even post a poll.

I am aware that it might encourage users to post in their own native language, but as I've already seen, some users do post in their own specific language when it comes to reply to a fellow from their nation :) .

My ideea is not to make CGTalk.com and CGSociety.com multi-language sites, I just want the forum [the interface] to be available in multiple languages ;). Though, making the above two mentioned sites in more languages would be simply amazing.
