maya question: i have had to scale a model by 50% (dont you love it when you dont check the scale before you rig something?) so i exported skin weights, detatched the skin, disabled IK, did a bit of ungrouping, and scaled the mesh - no problem, then i scaled the skeleton - no problem until i check if all my manipulator handles still come up with the correct type (move
/rotate /scale) of gnomon/gizmo when i manipulator select them.... they do EXCEPT when i manip-select the arm gnomon its handle is in the right place yet its gnomon is still in the orig (old 100% scale) position. I cant use the insert key to move the manip gnomon (unlike with move/rotate/scale) .... so how????

i dont know a great deal about ik and stuff, but i know you can group all the ik/controlers together and scale....and when you scale the ik the ik will scale the model aswell.

do it just like mushroomgod said! it should work. and you haven't detach skin and such things!!

also if you have a double transformation on the mesh, turn off the inherits transform in the mesh's attributes.
