Hi,
This is my recent work.
I started modelling the character low poly in 3DS Max, then making his details in ZBrush.
Unfortunatelly I didn`t manage to use the normal map from ZBrush on my 3D low poly model, skined, and animatable in 3DS Max (If anyone can help me with this problem, I will appreciate that) .
I painted over the model in Photoshop, the hair, the scars, and some detail on skin. For the background I used a picture made by me with my digital camera and postprocessed.
For the character I didn`t use any references.
I intentionaly exaggerated some parts of the model, which I considerred features of an primitive savage humanoid (muscles, hands...).

this is a really impressive piece ..

why did you not show his genitale ?
hi would imagine that a musculare persone like this guy would at least have a mdium sized organ .. no ?
right now it look like he have feminine genitalia ..
it's kind of disturbing ..

sade .. cause you did a great job on the rest ..

lol he looked scary and musculine before i saw the other half of the body, how can anyone take a barbarain without a err... penis seriously :P

Yes, it's very good work and I like the backgroud you've used. Perhapse if you didn't whant to make the genitalia you shouldn't have made him naked:D .

Consider adding an animal skin loin cloth instead of the unrealistic bush of genital hair. Also the whites of his eyes are too white. They need shadowing. Like the background particularly.

really good, I really like the face, the body. The background is beautifull, great work on photoshop. I like the style..
but like the other, if you don't want to make his sex, why do not put a cloth or something like that?
It's a bit strange the fur!
Anyway, great work!

I know... it doesn't look quite normal the genital area, but I use a compromise solution.
I was thinking at gorillas when I decided to hide it's manhood in that bush.
I tried to put some clothes on him but that changes his proportion. It apears a body with a long torso, and short legs.
I didn't made his genitals organs, also becouse I was thinking it will look to obscene for a public forum. Maybe I will complete his body for my private gallery.

Nu te lasa descurajat de carcotasi care habar nu au ce este aia licenta artistica. Este cel mai "cool" personaj pe care l-am vazut vreodata. Eu unul, nu simt nevoia sa vad genitale de barbat (oi fi eu homofob:) ) dar ca orice opera de arta (mai ales una care nu este gandita ca replica exacta a realitatii) chiar nu avea nevoie de asa ceva. Buna ideea cu parul, mai ales tinand cont de stilul asiatic (parca tibetan) auster. Insa am un comentariu: corpul nu pare sa aiba proportiile normale, dar asta nu inseamna ca nu arata normal. Bafta in continuare!:thumbsup:
