View Full Version : New to lighting and with a problem

I'm not sure wether this should be in here or the 3DS Max Forum but here goes. I'm doing a little animation and i've set up some lights to light my scene and everything looks fine in the perspective view but whhen i go to render it out it comes out alot darker than how it's lit in 3DS Max. I have lit it brightly for those unable to view the max file. I don't have default turned on in 3DS Max either. Hope people can help me.

Hey have you maybe either got exposure control on and/or inverse/inverse square settings turned on in your lughts settings? if so then you may need to increase the multipliers a fair bit, to actually see any visible results in renders.

Ill take a look at your max file just now.

Hey, upon closer inspection, it does turn out that you have logarithmic exposure control turned on, in advanced lighting >> exposure control . Turn this off, and also, increase the multiplier on those lights, and it renders fine.
