Dam,

I'm pissed I just ordered a UltraSharp 1900FP from them about 3 weeks ago. it was a good deal at $649.00 but I really wanted a 20 inch to be able to go 1600 x 1200.

such is life prices drop :shrug:

A friend, who works at Dell mentioned that the 19 inch is a Samsung branded model and the 20 inch is a SGI branded model with Dell Logo's.

Yup, saw this at Ben's Bargains earlier today. Thing is, I would wait till 4 weeks after Christmas. I think prices will have their first persistent & substantial drop around then. Also, this deal has already been extinguished by the hordes of FatWalleters

Those dell 20"ers are sweet.. Especially at 1600x1200. A friend of mine has one, dual DVI inputs alone are a pimp option.

standard setup for our office is dual dell 18" flats. to see a whole office full of them is something else.

how is the color quality in those Dell 20". Does anybody know?Because I want to get an LDC that runs 1600x1200 but the brightness ratio 0f the dells seems low. I heard really good things about the viewsonic vx2000 and the formac 2010 gallery but those things for for $1500 and $1700 bucks!!

The dell seems a great dell if the image quality cuts it for CG, nut I'm not sure...

I luve my 19 inch LCD Dell, but I did have to fiddle with the brightness contrast and a bit with the saturation.
But thats my liking I dont like moniters to Bright it still sometimes seems to bright and Ive lowered it doen to 45 on the LCD.
Not sure about those 20's LCD's

I´m thinking of getting one of the 1900FP´s.

Could you please let me know about its performance?

Is there any visible ghosting when you move the cursor or rotate objects on the screen?

Does it play video without artifacts?

Any other comment on it?

I have one of those Dell 1900FP it does have ghosting, but the color and ease of eye strain makes up for the ghosting.

it basically replaced my old 21 inch not true flat Viewsonic monitor.

So yes there is Ghosting

Ive heard that prices are gona keep dropping would be nice if Samsung mad a 19 inch version of there 17 inch Wide panel
