Looks like everybody is allowed to post and show stuff made with recent software updates from programs mainly used in the cg industry (Stated by several press releases from the company distributing the software). Especially the surfacing capabilities are a very interesting part of this software. I would like to encourage people who got hold of recent updates to post some images made with SSS shaders or other shaders. Probably with an image showing results with common shaders available at present to see some differences.

Let's get it started!

Cheers

What exactly are you asking for? And which software are you referring to? It doesn't sound like your referring to lightwave 8.x

Well, I heared from a very reliable source that there is a new software available to a certain group of guys and girls. As far as I can remember I read about this program in this section of cgTalk and if I remember correctly I even bought a version of this software with a version number of 8.something. So any SSS test would be welcome.

I think he's talking about MAX. Quick, everyone grab a pitch fork and a flaming torch, there's a lynchin' to be had!

Oh, this is the MAX forum!? I'm so sorry that I posted in the wrong forum. I used the link I always use to get to my favourite 3d app. Bad computer, very bad computer. How could you do this to me?

probably it is lightwave version 100-91, or lgihtwave 3 x 3 :)

Are you saying Lightwave is actually a some sort of funky trike?

Where's my SSS?

Is it that bad?

Probably I should have a look for a new version of TB's FakeSkin shader. And be happy that Sasquatch is many years old and still no update.

In a world where everything changes so quickly I suppose I can call myself lucky to have some stable factors in my life. Like no undos in layout ... But that's a story I keep for my grand children (if I'll ever have any).

Paraphrasing a famous movie:
The first rule about SSS is you do not talk about the SSS!

That's the whole purpose of this thread. That everybody can keep their mouths shut and post till the end of traffic what they have got.

First rule of SSS is to show off.

Please don't start anymore threads asking people to show stuff from lw9. That goes for everybody.
