"Sales have not necessarily lived up to everyone's expectations since launch," Takashi Sensui, who was tapped on Thursday to replace Yoshihiro Maruyama as general manager of the Xbox division in Japan, told Reuters in a phone interview.
"But considering the (software) titles due to be released and the features and functions of the Xbox 360, we believe we will see very strong growth from here on out."
The change is effective from April 1."

I'm not sure how Microsoft's push for a global launch and only having 6 titles at the Japanese launch is Maruyama's fault.

They could have at least waited until Dead or Alive 4 was done, but probably would have much more success had they waited until DoA4, Enchant Arm, and Ninety Nine Nights were all ready for release. What's done is done. Hopefully NNN, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey can pick things up a bit whenever they are released.

Maybe Santa Claus had something to do with early launch.

If they switched people, then they're switching strategy.

Correlary: If they state they're not switching strategy, then they're switching strategy.
