View Full Version : Model or Object selection for grouped objects?

Hallo, can't get the difference between Object or Model selection.
I have a null object which groups several items. I'd like to click on the stage and get all the group selected, but it doesn't seem to work with the Model selection nor with the Object selection. Any tip?

In other words, how can I click on a group of objects, and select the whole group from the stage, not clicking on the null obj in the Object Manager?

Ah, I see. Stage = Editor window.

In R8, just select the null object, R Click on it, and click "select children" from the context menu. You can change the editor representation of the null object to make it easier to see/select. You do that in the Attributes Manager under Object Properties-->Display.

If you're using R6/7, the null object is just a tiny dot, but it can be selected in the editor as long as it's not inside of another object. When you select the null object all children will be selected automatically.
