View Full Version : How can i reduce the flickering of textures while using a classic lightsetup?
PIXAR 12-11-2002, 12:22 PM when i use a classic lightsetup with many omnis blablabla, i have this flickering at the leather on the ground (you'll see)
how can i eliminate this? in post production?

can't really make out whats happening, u mean the blurry/pixelated edges, cause thats all i see

Try enable the super sampling in the material editor.
It worked for me when I was doing a planet with small
lights on the surface but it increased rendering time

Hi Pixar,
From some technical reason, I'm not able to see your .avi(sorry), but the cause of the flickering can be at mesh, material or map level. So if the mesh is sound and the super sampling algoritms in the mat editor don't help, try some bluring map filter from the (Render Scene) Max Default Scanline A-Bufer>Anti-Aliasing>Filter:Video(for example).
