"KILLER", ay... man-made... current challenge involves a large body of water... hmmmmm, I'm thinking a dam or a place where someone can be killed by a large volumes of the wet stuff. :D
...or maybe "Killer deadline" implies an explostion, blowing up a well known landmark

I'd have to say:
Aztec or Mayan Pyramids!
Where you would have sacrifices!
