View Full Version : Avid free export EDL workaround?

Does anyone have an idea how to work around (legally) the limited exporting functions in the free app? I know a producer that just wants to cut up some inteviews but doesn't want to spend up on software (or Blackware!). We can digitise the clips in the big suite then sneaker net the OMFIs to his laptop. But to get them back again is the problem.

There's lots of freeware editors about but they don't make EDLs or OMF compositions for AVID suites.

well that's kind of what the free versions are for, that you can play around with the functions but if you want to use it in production they want to "force" you to buy the real package :)
