you could use the radial gradient tool,or a layermask. what is your image?, is it on its own layer and is it single(no background)? if so.. you can make a selection and add an outter glow to it and mess with the settings to give it a soft glow(a0ra look)

cheers dude that helps alot. yeah it is on its own layer and has no background. i tend to create a frame for every thing i do. even the shadows and sometimes if necessary the gradient in different things.
