Hi,

I use 3Delight and lately I experimeted with its SSS implementation. It's based on Jensen's BSSRDF. So I tried some of the measured parameters given in the BSSRDF paper and the results are really great. What I like to know if there are more measured materials avaible? The paper includes only 12 materials (which are quite a good base).

Not as far as I know. Measuring materials like that is a laborious process that requires specialist equipment, which is why it seems only US universities ever do it.

Christophe Hery published a technique known as "alpha inversion" for getting bssrdf parameters from a diffuse colour map, and ryan heniser did a nice implementation of that on his renderman academy website.
