A character from a novel I've been doing.

if you'd like some crit at this point, here's a couple things that jump out...

for how much color and light you have, there's way too much black. the shads are probably too heavy in general, but even you want this much contrast, try warming up your shadows and using some purple and brown rather than black.

i think you're a bit heavy with the light blooms. it doesn't get across why there's so much bloom. if it's daylight, it should be pretty ambient with blooms from a particular source (sun)

the only other thing is that you should make a call on weather or not to keep your line art visible. if you're keeping it, make it more dramatic and very clean. no scratchy lines. if you're painting over it you need to blend it out more. especially on her outside lines where light is hitting her.

it's looking good. she's got a great face. really good nose and mouth. just need to clean up the presentation. hope it helps.

Thanks for the tips I may try that. This was my first attempt at painting with Photoshop rather than coloring in Photoshop. I wanted some of the lines to come out more than others but I was never happy with ow the dagger on her side came out. Thanks again.
