View Full Version : new fx video tutorials available
amckay 12-11-2002, 12:04 AM Hey all, quick note.. recently I've completed close to fifteen new video tutorials mainly focused on visual effects and particles with a few others focused on other advanced 3dsmax techniques. Right now there's only five or so up, although Pedja (3dluvr webmaster) will put the rest up very soon once they've been converted to a web supported format. I'll also have another five completed very soon totally around 20, all around 30 mins in length. The latter ones will be more effect specific focusing on how to make a twister or other subjects like that.
You can find the vids at : http://www.3dluvr.com/content/news/167

uhh.. thanks ... I think you have the wrong particle monkey.. Brandon Davis worked on Coronado not me ;)
I'm doomed to all bad hollywood movies that are shipped off shore to Australia ;)
Allan
Sorry sorry sorry :hmm: Me big idiot.
You are doing George of the Jungle 2 and Inspector Gadget 2, right? or have i put my foot in it again?
Any way great tuts, and looking forward to seeing all of them. Any reason why we can't save them? aside from copyright.
One more thing, I'm on max and i can't find a good tut to make sea and waves will you be covering that too?, thanx.
Later
Sorry, while i'm at it. Would you consider a snow scene with blowing wind, accumulating snow on objects and mountains and all other details that come with it?
That would be pretty cool:bounce:
Thanx soo much any way.

heya mayav, that's not my call sorry :\ the webmaster of 3dluvr wanted them to stream I guess so that it gives 3dluvr a bit more traffic and they don't circulate too much..
Who knows though hopefully in future it might end up being downloadable with a 3dluvr watermark over the top or something, as that'd be my preference since I'm on dial up at home as well ;)
Godlike Allan, I like it ;) i just wish i would be able to rewind the movie at some points, instead of going through 15 minutes of what you already heard. Keep it up :applause:

Yeah if they could be downloadable somehow that'd be super-sweet.
Plenty of bandwidth here from work though, and this is way cool Allan. Great coolness and many thanks for making this stuff.

I'd talk with 3DLuvr about maybe having a bunch of them printed onto a CD and being sold on the website. I know I'd buy it if it was reasonably priced, it'd save having to watch the whole thing time and time again just to completely understand it all
