Hi, well, this is my First forum post (topic wise).

Well I'm back to animating again, (its been a while) I haven’t done much “Character” animation. I've always felt limited by Biped and the turmoil of IK/FK. But I downloaded the LowMax rig yesterday, and have been playing around with that (though IK/FK switch is still problematic).

Here is what I came up with in 3.5-4 hours:

I used the ”Serial Murderer” quote from 40 Year Old Virgin, and animated the short 13 second conversation. It’s still pretty rough; pose to pose stuff. Need to do some synchronization on some of the hand movements in relation to the body (hand on hip, hand on head etc) so I'm aware of those things.

(Adult Language: "F" bomb in both videos, sorry)

>>Serial Murderer Version A (.mov)

>>Serial Murderer Version B (.mob) (http://www.junk-drawer-mind.com/Videos/murderB.html)

(“B” Is essentially the same animation. The only difference is an OTS cut and lighting)
Tried to make this one kind of a joke, because I'm not a big fan of the Biped .

Check out my portfolio too (still working out design concept and linkage but everything works) any emails about issues, always welcome.

very nice. i'm no expert in 3d animation i'm only starting out myself but i have some comments:
- in the "murderA" scene the left guy does a weird movment when he says "..that he is a serial..".
- the lipsync on the left guy is not very good when he says the words "murderer" and "apartments". i know you dont have many mouth positions but the timing in those parts seems wrong to me.
- the right guy 'acts' very good i think. i love that push he give him on the shoulder.
- "murderB" - hehe..good one.

hope this helps. good luck man.
