hi guys and gals

i've been thinking bout changing my eldery laptop for a new one. up to now the one that suited me best, was toshiba's tecra m4 tabletpc (tablet for photoshop and painter, quite strong CPU, great 6600 gpu). but recently toshiba has released it's new core duo based notebooks (M400 portege). the problem is it's equipped with a (crappy from what i see) intel gma950 gpu. the app i use the most is XSI, with some additional work done in painter or ps. I've got a license for 2 cpu's so the dual core power would seem really great, but i'm afraid that working under XSI with a gma950 gpu would be unbearable. does anybody know anything more bout this chip ? or maybe you've heard about the dream tabletpc with core duo + (ati, nvidia) gpu.

You're gonna have to wait for more powerful Core Duo notebooks to hit the streets. I dont think the bulk of the Core Duo based notebooks with dedicated graphics will be appearing for another few months.
