I've written a horror script about the dead coming back to life. A lot of people who have read it have been asking when I would be making it. I'd like to make it, but I think it would look better as a computer animated movie. I guess I'd like this so that I can show it around so that, someday, it would be made into an actual live action movie. I've contacted a few actors who showed interest. But it disappoints me when they think I have all the necessary equipment to do it with.

I guess what I am trying to say is, is there anyone here who is an animator or who knows someone who is an animator and would like to help me make my script into a computer animated movie? If you'd like to take a look at the script, let me know and I will submit it at your request. You can e-mail me if you'd like. I'd like to attach the script here but there is no indication on how I may do this.

I saw a great zombie computer animated clip and it was great! It looked so real, too. You can have a lot of freedom when it comes to scripts like these because you don't have to worry about locations or actors or special make-up effects. I've been trying to work with 3D Studio Pro and Maya, but those systems are hard. I wanted to take classes but it's too far.

If anyone is interested, I think we can make something here. I'd like to show this off to as many film festivals as I can and also movie studios, distributors, etc. and I think I can get those actors to work on it as voice overs.

The script has NO nudity but it does have adult language and a lot of violence. This is the synopsis:

An old crate is broken open by the damaged anchor of a cruise liner stranded in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. A strange liquid oozes out manifesting into a myst which spreads slowly across the planet reanimating the dead who wreak havoc on land and on the cruise liner.

Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

One thing you should say first is the length of your film and the level of realism you're aiming at. I presume you want a photorealistic look with a lot of animated stuff an so on and so forth. You'll have to take one thing in consideration here: 3D filmmaking takes a LOT of time. I mean it. For a 5 minute short with a couple of crew members it would take years. So bearing that in mind, I don't believe you'll find people who would work for free on such a long project. I'm sorry to ruin the party, but it's true.
My personnal opinion on your project is making a zombie film is suicide because noone will ever do better than Romero (at least History proved it so far) and Romero is not a god of filmmaking. Also, I'm not particularly convinced by your storyline. A crate emerging from bermuda triangle seems pretty clichéd to me. That's just my humble opinion.
I'm sorry to make such a negative reply, but I think you should reconsider your project. An amateur live action film done in two month is better than an amateur 3D film done in three years (if ever finished).
Good luck.
Cheers.

Sad to say but I have to agree with Sandman.
Writer from your topic I can see u don't have a strong knowledge of 3d productions.
Anyway the professionals you should look for are not only animators, but also, modelers, riggers, texture artist, renderers, and so on.
I did a 7 minutes 3d short a couple of year ago and we were only 4 ppl in the team, we finished but the final result wasn't what we were expecting 'cause the project was just to high.
You might consider first to improve your script, even if the main idea is not so original u could improve the action and the drama, then shoot it live and use 3d to enhance proestaetics fx.
As a director I often use 3d to previz my shorts and that's very handy to change camera position and trying different angles, focal lenghts, and so on then when I see everything's working I translate that to real shooting, but you will always loose something anyway:)
So don't get stuck with 3d u can do your movie in a lot of different ways.
BEst wishes

You two are so right. I don't know what I was thinking. But, I do like the latter by having shoot real live action then integrate digital where necessary.

The whole concept of the movie deals with Greek mythology in how the Bermuda Triangle was created. The crate plays a pivotal role in the creation because Pandora's box was lost there. I do appreciate your reponses. Thank you.
