Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush

This is my latest image. It shows a General returning home after being in a war. He is a stern man who after living through the war does not believe in the heroics of it.

Base modelling done in Max 8, details done in Zbrush and rendered with Mental Ray. SSS skin shader used for the Skin. Post all done in Photoshop.

I would be very interested to hear peoples opinions on all aspects of this piece.

Very nice! I like character a lot, great expression in his face. But he is only one in parade, pitty :)

Well done with the modelling and I think that the leather looks pretty good as well. At first I thought that he looked a bit out there on his own and it didnt seem to fit in,:blush: but then I started to think that if you catch him maybe up on stage and he is then that would explain why you dont see much behind him. So the long and the short of it is I think that this is a really good piece of work and that ones perspective comes into play alot here!:thumbsup:

Wow, why isn't this a five star picture? Awesome job. Know any good Zbrush tutorials to start a begginer off?

thank you for your replies. yes he is up on a stage with his nations flag behing him which is why he is on his own.
