Well, what i´m thinking about is to show that life always struggles to grow up no matter what disaster has happened, and so i´m thinking on a broken, burnt, almost destroyed robotic arm, laying on a wasteland and holding in its hand a seed (or nut) from within it sprangs a flower.

Time to sketch i guess.

I'm doing some robot as well, but have no time to sketch yet!

Good luck! :)

Ok, late as usual, here are a couple of rough sketches.

The first one shows the general idea, that i´ll polish over the 3rd stage, no doubt, as actually is very simple, and still i´m not confident on the direction the sprout should take, because i want to use the diagonals to show stress and try to center the flower (an orchid-like one that i´ll "grow" in a manner that might remind of a bird-phoenix) in one of the hot-spots of the image.
The second one is a rough studio on the articulated joints that drive the robot hand´s fingers. Though i´m not planning on model them usable for animation, i like to design things that seem at least feasible.
