Hi,

This is my 4th attempt at matte/concept-painting. Most of the image was done using photoshop. I created the worms and 'teeth' using Zbrush (using Zspheres), exported OBJ files and positioned/rendered them in XSI. I like the colors in this image most and some parts of the lighting. I dislike the composition the most, it's a kind of straight ahead composition, which makes the image a bit boring to look at. Zbrush is an excellent tool in sculpting organic stuff, giving you great speed and freedom! Hope you like it,

it's a great work. Great composition also. But I think you may use different color schemes to give us more exciting scene. This artwork needs some contrast in colors and lighting. But it's a great scene! great sci fi looking.

Awesome stuff man, not so boring to me man, I like it.

I'm gonna bitch a bit cause it's in my nature ... but I ain't too crazy about the planets in the background :)... for the rest, nice style dude!

As usual you getting plenty of shinny little stars from me.

I think the problem with the planets is that well, its our moon and its instantly recognizable. That reduces the level of fantasy (imo).

Otherwise, a very nice image. I dont mind the straight line approach. Theres enough detail to hold the eye.

Very nice atmosphere .. but will these rocks stands with such an angle? :thumbsup:

Thanks guys. As for the 2 planets, they work for me but Plastik is def. right that they are to recognizable.... I should have worked on that, doh :(
Down here you can see parts I zbrushed, hope you guys enjoy! I'm gonna start working on my new matte! cheers,
