This head is based on a concept made by Nutsy http://members.rogers.com/ltnnr/heads.jpg

It was just meant as practise for sub-D and how to translate cartoon into 3D (which turned out to be quite a challenge with some parts).

I also focused on materials and such. This is the second time I really used spec, color spec, etc etc.

Critique is welcome altho' I will not work on this model anymore. :)

wow! I'm impressed, great sense of cartoon. Really nice textures as well. He has appeal.

Maybe his ears are a bit close to the face, just to say something.


It's a pain you've decided not to work on him anymore... I hope you know what you're doing.. :)

Very nice, the only complaint I can think of is that it looks too silcony, like plastic.

Thanks all, I will not work on this model anymore. He's finished :)

I gotta agree with the plasticness... I tried to make it look better, well next model :)

i love those lips. And the eyes.
only crit is perhaps the skull indentation just above the ear looks a little like a shadow.
Really like him tho, if that was an experiment into cartooning a bloke, cant wait to see what you do next!:beer: :bounce: :bounce:

Great design and modeling!!! I think the textures and shader looks a little flat and unfinished. I'd work on the shader a little more. Are you gonna build a body to go with him?
