Hi everybody, According to WRX tutorial(see this link http://www.blissdd.com/WRX/Tutorial/pages/book_pages/Book009.html), anyone succeed to create Birail 3 tool, I am so nervous ,I have been trying to make a bonnet in the front of car by using Birail3 tool. Unfortunately,it didn't come out as expected .I spent a long time for this but it doedn't work. It 's always failed. Don't worry about the intersection between the curves, I use snap curve & point to snap Edit point in order to touch each other , moreover I rebuild all curve (Profiles and Rails) so finally, the no. of span in all curves are equally. And what's wrong?

Here is it:

First you select Birail 3, then select first curve and press enter, then select secont curve and press enter and finaly senect third curve and press enter.
If you still have problems give me a call!!!

don't bother with the biral tools use the sqaure and boundry tools i found they worked much better, although for some of the forms your going to need to use the birail 3 tool.

Hi Guys, I got it. I learn how to make it work. I ask myself everytime when the warning show something like " can't compute or compute failed" How come? Now it's work. let's me suggest whoever want to try this tutor and stuck this part. The main idea is Birail not work ,because it's not snap .This is the reason behind that why it shows warning. I think all the time that my Eps snap together until I close the camera up to the curves. So you must dolly your camera and close up the area you want to intersect point, use snap to point tool( very useful for this purpose) in order to snap the point , use Edit point better than Cvs. Finally,I think it should be work. Yeph that's all

i am modeling a car right now myself and i have taken this tutorial as a guide too

for intersecting curves i have found using the lockintersection mel script (available from AW and on highend3d) very useful

it allows you to select two (or more) points on curves and does point constrain them to a locator - so you have guaranteed curve intersections and an easy way to manipulate the intersection by moving the locator
